On September 9, 10, and 11, a working meeting of international partners for the Project Humlit (“Developing Humorous Literacy”) – funded by the Horizon Europe program (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) – took place at the Complutense University of Madrid. The event’s main goal was to take stock of the results achieved so far, foster the exchange of ideas, and discuss the project’s next implementation stages.
Mariyana Stoyanova, Head of the Computer Processing Department, represented the Museum of Humor and Satire at the meeting.
The Museum is one of six associated partners participating without direct funding in this initiative, which brings together 25 academic and cultural institutions from across Europe.
Our contribution to the project so far involves conducting and processing six interviews with Bulgarian satirists (writers, cartoonists, and actors), focusing on the processes of creating and perceiving humor: https://humorhouse.bg/…/humlit-humor-i-humoristichna…/,

The HUMLIT partnership also made it possible to launch the “Smiling Chronicles” video series as part of the Museum’s “Digital Home” project.
