“It Takes Two to Tango”

On the 6 and 7 of October 2026, Gabrovo and the Regional Ethnographic Open-Air Museum Etar hosted “It Takes Two to Tango”, an event dedicated to successful partnerships, which also aimed to mark the start of the new programming period of the EEA and Norway Grants 2021-2028.

Today, we welcomed the participants in the forum and presented the project ‘The Address of Satire’, which the Museum of Humour and Satire implemented in partnership with the Norwegian University College for Green Development. We talked about the different aspects of the project, from the renovation of the museum spaces, the new technology and equipment, as well as the introduction of software for managing the collections and the library, to the creation of two exhibitions, a mobile app and new approaches to working with audiences. We focused particularly on community curation and the knowledge and skills our team gained through our partnership with our Norwegian colleagues.

After the presentation, our guests took a guided tour of the museum’s exhibitions.

We are pleased to contribute to this conversation about successful partnerships that turn good ideas into real change, and to share our experience with our guests.
