The Museum of Humor and Satire launches the new video series “Smiling Chronicles”, which introduces the audience to authors whose works are part of the museum’s Digital Collection.
In seven short episodes, artists, collaborators and partners of the museum talk about the life, work and inspirations of some of the interesting names represented in the art collection.
The series is an invitation to all who want to peek behind the works and discover more of the wealth of the Museum of Humor and Satire.
In the final episode of the series, Dr. Paweł Płoski, the current director of the Museum of Caricature in Warsaw, presents Eryk Lipiński – a Polish caricaturist, satirist, writer, journalist, graphic artist, creator of posters and illustrations, and set designer. He served on the jury of the First Biennial of Humour and Satire in Gabrovo in 1973 and founded the Museum of Caricature in Warsaw, which today bears his name.
The Art Collection of the Museum of Humour and Satire houses twelve of his works; all of them are included in the digital catalogue.
